ALTA Surveys

The American Land Title Association (ALTA) has established standards in conjunction with the American Congress on Surveying & Mapping (ACSM) and the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) for comprehensive surveys, covering boundaries, improvement locations, and numerous other related items. An ALTA survey is one of the base documents upon which land title transfers are made and, thus, is key to land transactions and their financing.
