When projects directly impact a designated floodplain a Letter Of Map Change is often required. These changes are issued by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and are used for notation of revisions to the published floodplain maps.
Landplan Engineering evaluates project plans and works with local Flood Plain Administrators, state agencies, FEMA, and the Corps of Engineers to determine what permits may be required and if a LOMC may be needed. Where a LOMC is required, Landplan models the impact of proposed changes to the land within and along floodplains and assists clients with all aspects of the regulatory process for obtaining the LOMC.
