LANDPLAN ENGINEERING ANNOUNCES STAFF ACCOMPLISHMENTS, Kansas City, Kansas...Janelle N. Phillips, PE, LEED AP; Kyle S. Fitzgerald, LEED AP; and Brian WC Sturm, LEED AP have attained LEED accreditation. LEED accreditation signifies that the individual has demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED Green Building Rating System.

As Director of Junction City Operations, Janelle Phillips is responsible for coordinating the activities of the day-to-day operations of Landplan’s Junction City, Kansas office as well as staff development and marketing. A registered engineer in Kansas, Missouri and Colorado, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Kansas and a Master of Science degree in civil engineering from Kansas State University. Janelle’s current projects include the Highlands in Abilene, Kansas and Geary County School District Daycare Facility in Junction City, Kansas as well as numerous consulting projects for area municipalities and developers.

Kyle Fitzgerald, a Kansas State University graduate with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree, is a Landscape Architect in Landplan’s Kansas City, Missouri office. Kyle provides research, analysis, preliminary design, graphic support and technical assistance on a variety of projects, such as comprehensive planning and park master planning and design. His current project involvement includes Bonner Springs Library, The Sweet Life at Overland Park, Basehor Community Library, Clear Creek West and Eastbrooke Trails.

Brian Sturm is a Landscape Architect in Landplan’s Lawrence office. A graduate of the University of Georgia with a Master of Landscape Architecture degree, he also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Brian provides research, analysis, preliminary design, graphic support and technical assistance on a variety of projects, including Bauer Farm, Lawrence Airport Business Park and Miracon Plaza, all in Lawrence, Kansas.
