Philip W. Struble, PE
Philip W. Struble, PE, President and CEO of Landplan Engineering, is a graduate of the University of Kansas. He received a Master of Business Administration degree in 1981 and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree in 1979. Philip holds professional engineer registration in several midwestern states. Prior to joining Landplan in 1987, Philip worked for several engineering firms in the Denver, Colorado area. Philip was named President and CEO of Landplan Engineering in 1997. He is an active member of numerous professional engineering and management societies. He is also a member of the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
At Landplan Engineering, Philip is responsible for the overall operations and management of the firm. In addition, he advises on the technical design of all engineering projects completed by the firm. This responsibility includes conceptual design, computer applications, continuing education and staffing. Project designs include mining operations, stormwater collection and treatment, process water treatment, large volume water transfer, public hearings and various environmental processes.

Christopher M. Storm, PE, LEED AP
Christopher M. Storm, PE serves as manager of Landplan Engineering’s Lawrence civil engineering department. His responsibilities include directing the staff of engineers, technicians and draftsmen, and ensuring the technical quality of projects. Foremost among his areas of expertise are stormwater management facility design, and hydraulic and hydrological analysis. Chris holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University. A registered Professional Engineer, he is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and National Society of Professional Engineers.

C.L. Maurer, RLA, ASLA
At Landplan Engineering, C.L. Maurer has responsibilities in landscape architectural design, site planning, parking facility design, park planning, community development, and design and construction docu-mentation for various governmental and private enterprise entities. C.L. works hand-in-hand with clients, subconsultants, public and private agents, and governmental authorities to ensure success during concept development, design development, project review and approval processes. C.L.’s Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree is from Kansas State University, and he is registered in Kansas and Missouri. A Certified Preparer of SWPPP, he is a member of the American Planning Association, International Erosion Control Association and Soil & Water Conservation Society.

T. Jeffrey Martin, PE
T. Jeffrey Martin, PE is responsible for overseeing the operation of Landplan Engineering’s Kansas City and Texas offices. He is experienced in all phases of design services including residential and commercial development projects; and street, sanitary sewer, drainage, waterline, and bridge design. Jeff received a juris doctorate from the University of Kansas; a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California; and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Arizona State University. A registered engineer, he is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Paul A. Miller, PE
A Senior Project Engineer at Landplan Engineering, Paul Miller, PE has over 20 years of experience in civil engineering design projects, including streets, sanitary sewer systems, stormwater systems, water distribution systems and sewage treatment facilities. His responsibilities include overall supervision of engineering projects; representing clients at governmental meetings and hearings; and providing on-site observation of projects through their completion. He has extensive knowledge of the development review processes through local and state agencies. Paul earned a Bachelor of Science in Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Environmental Engineering from the University of Missouri. He is a member of the American Public Works Association, American Society of Civil Engineers, and American Water Works Association.

Alan D. Mackey, RLA, ASLA
Alan D. Mackey, RLA, ASLA serves as lead designer and project manager for diverse landscape architectural projects that include comprehensive planning, site master plans, park master plans, community planning, site development plans, and streetscapes. As Landscape Architecture & Planning Manager in Landplan’s Kansas City office, Alan’s responsibilities include project oversight, staff coordination, participating in and presenting at public meetings, and developing and maintaining client relationships. He is a graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and a member of the American Planning Association and American Society of Landscape Architects.

John (JD) G. Damrath III, PE
John Damrath (J.D.) serves as Landplan Engineering’s manager for the Great Lakes region as well as for clients with nationwide development programs. Though recently joining Landplan, his relationship with the firm extends back several years as a developer client representative for numerous CVS/Pharmacy projects planned and designed by Landplan for Cedarwood Development. Currently, J.D. is working with program clients focused on retail development for which Landplan offers services ranging from site civil design to program management encompassing site selection, planning, design, entitlements, land closing support as well as construction administration and facility turnover. His 22 years of experience covers a broad range of retail projects including convenience stores, fueling stations, alternative fuels, pharmacies, grocery stores and a variety of restaurant and fast food chains. A registered professional engineer in numerous states, JD holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from The Ohio State University.
