LIVING
LEARNING CENTER
Washburn University,
Topeka, KS |
As part of a
multi-disciplinary team, Landplan Engineering was retained by the
project architect, Treanor Architects, in 1999 to provide civil
engineering and landscape architectural services for this significant
addition to the Washburn University campus. The Living Learning Center
is designed to blend with existing campus buildings and emulate
architectural elements and character from former buildings. Completed in
fall 2001, the Living Learning Center provides social and common areas,
recreational space, dining services, a reading room and residential
living on campus in a state-of-the-art integrated educational and
residential center.
