Langston Hughes Elementary School

As part of a multi-disciplinary design team, Landplan Engineering provided complete landscape architectural and engineering services for this new elementary school in West Lawrence. Landplan worked with the School District to prepare rezoning and annexation documentation to bring the property into the City limits. Landplan also developed a site plan for the school site that identified the building, parking and playground locations.

Site construction documents were prepared for all site improvements including grading, storm drainage, waterlines, sanitary sewer, traffic signage and landscaping. Landplan Engineering was also responsible for the design and layout of a K - 3 playground, 3 - 6 playground, ballfields, and a large practice field for open play.
