Downtown Parsons Revitalization

Landplan Engineering recently completed the revitalization of Downtown Parsons, Kansas, a project with a construction cost of $2 million. This major streetscape project included the removal of the existing pedestrian mall/plaza and construction of a new two-lane street with associated parking, corner extensions, infrastructure improvements and a range of streetscape amenities and street trees that accentuate the existing historic architecture. Landplan conducted infrastructure assessments, completed redevelopment plans and provided full construction administration for the project. The firm was further selected to provide design services for the city blocks adjacent to the initial four-block core project. This extension of the streetscape serves to unite the surrounding business and neighborhood communities with the Historic Downtown District.
