Landplan Engineering continues to provide complete surveying, planning
and infrastructure design services for this long-term development.
Initial phases, which facilitated the City of Lawrence’s westerly
growth, included a 960-acre residential, office and commercial
development with 36 holes of private and public golf. Currently in the
planning and implementation phases are an additional 2,000 acres for
research park, office, school, residential and commercial development,
with another 18 hole-golf course. This westerly growth is strategically
planned to take advantage of the Clinton Reservoir and the South
Lawrence Trafficway proximity.
